Yay!
I finally got my hands on a spinning wheel! :)
I got it on eBay germany a week ago and it seemed reasonably priced with the skein winder included (that would cost me 80 euros if I’d buy it new) - I think it’s fairly old, it has the old bobbins and the treadle connector broke when we first tried it, but other than this it is in a good condition. At present it’s a bit wobbly, my dad will fix this when he finds the time…but I already love it!
I didn’t have that much time at the weekend to try it, but I spun 4 oz. of Wensleydale roving on it. After a lot of cursing at the beginning I finally got it and I was spinning something that could be called…uhm…rope. :P
I enjoyed it sooooo much, I already ordered some more different natural fleeces at worldofwool.co.uk to practice with. :)
